Biographical entry Bannister, Capt Thomas (1799 - 1874)

He arrived in Western Australia in October 1829. He was a former British Army officer. In 1830 he was appointed Government Resident at Fremantle. He led the first overland expedition from Perth to King Georges Sound. He left Western Australia in 1835.
