Biographical entry Barker, Collet (1786 - 1831)

Barker was a Captain in the 39th Regiment. He arrived in Sydney in February 1828. He accompanied T.B. Wilson and Thomas Bannister up the Canning River, Western Australia in October 1829. He was sent to Sydney in early 1831. His final work was in South Australia where he was killed by aborigines at the mouth of the Murray River.
